Lady GaGa became just the first twitter account to cross the mark of 20 million Twitter followers last Saturday (March 3). Lady Gaga became the most followed Twitter account, a title she still owns, when she surpassed fellow pop superstar Britney Spears in August 2010. At the time, Spears was leading with over 6 million Twitter accounts.

Among other Twitter accounts, the only one that poses some threat to Gaga at the moment is Justin Bieber’s. The teen singer has approximately 18 million followers and he’s been growing at a faster rate than Gaga.

Lady GaGa took some time to have a little chit chat with her fans on Twitter on Tuesday (July 5, 2011). She talked about her upcoming “Born This Way Ball Tour”, saying it’ll reach countries her previous tour (“Monster Ball Tour”), did not like India, Indonesia and the Latin American countries. Continuing on the BTW Ball she said “Heavy Metal Lover”, “Poker Face”, “Just Dance”, “Paparazzi”, “Dance In The Dark” and “LoveGame” will make it to the tour’s setlist.

GaGa also commented about the ongoing promo for her last album, she said she’s going to make some more tv appearances to promote “The Edge of Glory” and that the video for her next single, which she didn’t reveal, is in the works. Rumor has it, the next single is “Yoü and I”.

About “GaGaVision”, she said she’s editing material and that she should release a new episode soon.

At the moment I’m writing this (8:30 P.M. New York), Lady GaGa has 5,674,224 followers. Around 4,000 more than Britney Spears.
