Lady GaGa was seen posing with Apple employees outside the Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California today (August 17). The visit of the singer to the “mothership” has revived the rumors she’s signing a marketing deal with the company.
Back in May, Examiner.com reported Lady GaGa had signed a sponsorship agreement with Apple to appear on the then unreleased iPhone 4, what didn’t happen. Rumors now say GaGa might be one of the faces for the commercials and promos of the new iPod nano.
T.I. revealed to MTV News that he’s collaborating with Lady GaGa for his new album, “King Uncaged”, due August 17th:
“Phenomenal talent. Extremely proud [to work with her]. She’s definitely that good. She knows what she’s doing. She knows exactly what she wants people to think and say. She does everything that she needs to be done to ensure it happens. I think she’s an entertainer, in all aspects of the word,” He said about her. “She’s a classic, all-around entertainer. A global star.”
The name of the song is “Lick It”, and it’s produced by GaGa’s favorite man, RedOne: “The one we have right now is entitled ‘Lick It.’ I think we both have a tendency to shock the world in a lot of different ways.”, he said they are going to record more songs for the album.
No look for Lady Gaga is ever quite complete without a headpiece. So it comes as no surprise that the singer would be interested in millinery. And who better to learn from than legendary Irish hat maker Philip Treacy–the couture hat designer behind her unforgettable Grammys lightning bolt headpiece, Sarah Jessica Parker‘s famous green topper for the London Sex and the City premiere and a favorite of the late fashion icon Isabella Blow. But whether or not Gaga follows in the path of stars like Ashley Olsen in becoming a design intern remains to be seen. “While nothing is set in stone, it is true that she has requested an internship with Philip,” confirms a rep for the label. Having collaborated with Philip Treacy on a number of her most-famous headpieces, we think this would be a match made in fashion heaven! Stay tuned for more details.
Lady Gaga is not happy with Fox. On Wednesday night, “American Idol” aired nearly five minutes of Gaga’s pre-taped performance of her latest single “Alejandro,” complete with a grand finale that involved Gaga posing under a dripping statue of a burning angel. But apparently that wasn’t enough for the star, who took to her official Twitter to complain: “FOX POORLY AMATEURLY edited cut my performance/musical arrangement on idol.” Gaga then directed fans to the “real” version on Perez Hilton’s blog.
The blog Idol Tracker was at the taping last week, and reported that the studio audience was forced to stay in their seats over an hour and a half later than expected because of Gaga’s repeated practice sessions, though they say the star was appreciative of the audience’s sacrifice. Gaga’s performance was risqué as usual, but the segment was most likely edited for length, as “Idol” is frequently criticized for going over their allotted time. Fox has not commented about the performance.

Michael Bolton + Lady Gaga The Track: “Murder My Heart” The Setup: The big cheese attempts to make himself relevant to the under-60 set by collaborating with hip, young upstarts like Gaga and Ne-Yo on his new album. The Potential: OK, this definitely has serious WTF written all over it, but come on, that’s where Lady Gaga lives. This unholy musical spawning has that “can’t not look at it” appeal at which the girl with a penchant for red lace face masks, graphic mass murder camp and Kermit couture excels. Plus, it’s called “Murder My Heart,” you guys! The Payoff: Well, honestly, it’s actually kind of … cool. Gaga’s role is minimal, but her pretty keys and occasional swelling harmonies, a finger-popping beat and a serious tone-down of the lion’s roar-meets-soprano-sax vocals on Bolton’s part make for a surprisingly listenable slow jam. (Though we have to admit we’re a little disappointed it’s more good than so-bad-it’s-good.)
Lady GaGa is featured on the annual list of The Most Influential People in the World made by TIME Magazine.
The article on Lady GaGa was written by Cyndi Lauper, check it below:
I first heard the name Lady Gaga through a mutual friend. He couldn’t stop talking about her. Then I heard her music, and I thought, Wow, I love this kid.
People forget how young she is. She is barely 24 — much younger than I was when I became famous. It’s very tough being where she is right now. People are pulling her in all different directions. It’s hard to navigate that. Try to imagine what you were like at her age, if you still can. I can’t wait to see how she grows and what she decides her next act will be. She only has two albums out, but already she is inspiring other artists to go further in their own work.
When I see somebody like Gaga, I sit back in admiration. I’m inspired to pick up the torch again myself. I did an interview with her once, and she showed up with a sculpture on her head. I thought, How awesome. Being around her, I felt like the dust was shaken off of me. I find it very comforting to sit next to somebody and not have to worry that I look like the freak. She isn’t a pop act, she is a performance artist. She herself is the art. She is the sculpture.
After a rehearsal session for the video shoot of his single “Ridin’ Solo”, sweating Jason Derulo spared his time to do an exclusive interview with AceShowbiz. The singer/songwriter, who has supported Lady GaGa in a North American leg of her Monster Ball tour, says he loves the idea of taking the duet from the road to studio.
Praising the dance queen as “a totally sweetheart” who puts on an “amazing” and “extravagant” stage act in her every performance, Jason said, “I’d love to do a duet with Lady GaGa.” He added, “Maybe sometime soon, it will be in the pipeline.”
While waiting for the GaGa duet to happen, fans can expect the arrival of “Ridin’ Solo” music video which has been filmed earlier this week. “It’s basically a celebration of life but there is a lot of twist, there is a lot of dancing in it, it’s gonna be high energy. It’s a celebration of being single,” he said of the concept. “It’s okay not to be with somebody, it’s okay to ridin’ solo.”
Jason Derulo has released a self-titled debut album “Jason Derulo” across the United States on March 2 and he is preparing for a solo tour this year. More about what he has to say regarding the traveling show and other things which become his passion beside music will be explained more on our exclusive interview with the singer which will be out in full next week.
Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A. dished it out to Lady Gaga with a heaping helping of sass in an interview with NME. M.I.A. references Gaga at least three times, blasting the singer about her image and her influence on pop music. The highlights?
M.I.A. thinks Gaga, pictured in Sydney on April 6, is deluded about her avant-garde persona.
Lady Gaga Defends Students Wearing a Gaga-Themed Shirt
This one looks like it’s headed straight for the Supreme Court, since it sounds like one helluva of First Amendment violation. A Tennessee teen was sent home from Greenbrier High School to change his shirt, which sported the phrase, “I Heart Lady Gay Gay.” The school’s brass felt the shirt would cause a disruption among other students with its supposedly inflammatory statement.
“Glee” cast is set to take Lady GaGa in one of it’s 9 new episodes kicking off April 13 on FOX. Entertainment Weekly exclusively reveals that the choral will sing to “Bad Romance” and “Poker Face”. The latter of the pair will be tackled by Lea Michele’s Rachel, says creator Ryan Murphy, “Lea does a very stripped-down version of ‘Poker Face.”
“Bad Romance” will be a more elaborated performance, with the glee club performing with Gaga-esque wardrobe for the performance according to the show’s actress Lea Michele: “I do know that we’re all different Lady Gagas, and at one point I am the Kermit the Frog Lady Gaga. I saw a picture of the Kermit the Frog Lady Gaga with a Post-It on it that said ‘Lea.’ I was like, oh, great. Everyone else has incredible Lady Gaga outfits and I have that one.”
And it looks like producers are working to put the wardrobe on par with Lady GaGa’s eccentric fashion sense. Actor Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt, talked to EW about the outfits: “The outfits are gonna be incredible. All the costumes are outrageous and legit. I actually went to the tailor this morning who makes the real Gaga outfits. They’re going all-out.”
