Lady GaGa is set to join Elton John, Sting and Shirley Bassey to perform together for the Rainforest Fund Concert at The Carnegie Hall in New York on May 13th.

The charity institution is celebrating it’s 21st. birthday, it’s aim is help to protect and preserve the world’s threatened rainforest areas. The performers and guests will attend a live auction and a gala dinner.

Trudie Styler (one of the organization founders) invited Lady GaGa to take a break from her European tour to perform at the event, he told Billboard “She’s such a great young woman[...]Its a winning combination – we’re going to have a riotous time up there. Sting, Elton and Gaga will play together, and the boys will be performing with Dame Shirley, doing a great rendition of ‘Hey Big Spender’.”

Over the last 21 years, the Rainforest Fund has raised more than $30 million for its efforts, which have expanded from the Amazonian rainforest in Brazil to include efforts in 23 different countries.

“One of the things about this night,” Styler said, “the audience comes expecting to see unusual combinations of singers. Because I’ve never recorded it, everyone let’s their hair down. We raise a good amount of money for what I consider to be an incredibly important cause, but they have one heck of a night.”

Australia has given Lady gaga the thumbs up for her first concert for her Monster Ball Tour. Cannot wait to see her in Brisbane!!!!!!!!! Very excited, I will even give my own review which id say will be a good one =]. Lady GaGa attended the amfAR (American Funds for AIDS Research) New York Gala Event on Wednesday with Cyndi Lauper, their lipstick brand MAC VIVA Glam sponsored the gala party, Lady GaGa’s and Cyndi Lauper’s lipsticks for MAC VIVA hit retail at $14.00 on March 18. GaGa performed “Speechless”.

Lady GaGa attended today a Polaroid conference at The Consumers Electronics Conference in Las Vegas, where she was announced as the creative director of the company in order to revive the popularity of the instant pictures classic Polaroid cameras that were discontinued after lack of public interest.

The Haus Of GaGa is going to be responsible for the creative design of the new instant picture cameras. Gaga says: “The Haus of Gaga has been developing prototypes in the vein of fashion/technology and photography innovation – blending the iconic history of Polaroid and instant film with the digital era – and we are excited to collaborate on these ventures with the Polaroid brand. Lifestyle, music, art, fashion: I am so excited to extend myself behind the scenes as a designer, and to – as my father puts it – finally, have a real job.”
