Coty Inc. announced on Thursday (November 11) they have sealed a deal with singer Lady GaGa to develop her first signature fragrance.

The yet-to-be-named fragrance is scheduled for a spring 2012 release and will be distributed worldwide. GaGa and her “Haus of GaGa” team were signed as Creative Directors to collaborate in the fragrance creation.

“The marketing behind Lady Gaga’s fragrance will be unprecedented and groundbreaking,” said Steve Mormoris, Sr. V.P. of Global Marketing for Coty Beauty. “We are working toward distilling the brilliance of Lady Gaga into a fragrance that delivers a breathtaking olfactory experience and a timeless, enduring packaging design that is part of Lady Gaga’s overall artistic sensibility,” said Mormoris.

More details on the partnership and the fragrance (which hasn’t started being developed yet) will be revealed as the release date approaches.

Lady GaGa didn’t attend the 2010 European Music Awards yesterday (November 8 2010) in Madrid, Spain but she recorded 3 videos thanking for the awards she won: Best Pop Act, Best Female Artist and Best Song for “Bad Romance”, she was also nominated for Best Video with “Telephone” and Best Live Act, The winner of Best Video was Katy Perry “California Gurls” and Best Live Act was Linkin Park.
