Pop star Lady Gaga is set to collaborate with none-other-than pop princess Britney Spears.

The ‘Poker Face’ singer is set to enter the studio with the ‘Toxic’ singer when she has finished her current ‘Monster Ball’ tour and she has her dad to thank for setting it up, Sun online reported.

Gaga’s father Joseph took the opportunity to speak to Britney at a party following the Grammy Awards last month, and told the pop beauty his daughter was a big admirer.

“Lady Gaga has made no secret of just how much of a Britney fan she is,” a source told newspaper.

“She has even admitted she used to have posters of her on her wall and she was a great source of inspiration when she was a struggling songwriter.

She was delighted when she found her dad chatting away to Britney at the party. He introduced them and the three of them were locked in conversation for ages,” the source said.

“At the end of the chat, they exchanged numbers and agreed to go into the studio and work on music together as soon as Gaga finishes her tour,” the source added.

Lady Gaga previously revealed she has written songs for Britney and submitted her track ‘Telephone’ for one of her albums, but it was rejected.

The eccentric pop star instead recorded a version for her recent ‘The Fame Monster’ album with Beyonce Knowles.

“I wrote it for her a long time ago, and she just didn’t use it on her album. It’s fine because I love the song, and it’s exciting I get to perform it now,” Gaga had said.

The European leg of the ‘Monster Ball’ world tour starts on February 18, and ends in June.

NEW YORK — Defy Lady Gaga, and you might unleash the fame monster within.

The idiosyncratic Grammy-winning performer (real name: Stefani Germanotta) put the kibosh on still photos during a recent media appearance. One bystander didn’t get the memo and snapped an illicit shot.

“Can you erase that, please?” Gaga says, turning to face the interviewer. “I’m so sorry. Could we have privacy? This is not a time for people to be taking photos. It’s such a serious conversation. I like to give you my full attention.”

Gaga, 23, has joined singer Cyndi Lauper to promote safe sex as one of the faces of MAC cosmetics’ Viva Glam campaign, which supports people living with HIV/AIDS.

“I have a tremendous relationship with the gay community. When people find out I’m doing this, they say, ‘Is it because of your relationship with the gay community, because you want to speak out about AIDS?’ And I say no,” Gaga explains. “AIDS is not a gay disease. That’s part of what I want to accomplish … really raise awareness of what AIDS is today.”

Lady GaGa attended the amfAR (American Funds for AIDS Research) New York Gala Event on Wednesday with Cyndi Lauper, their lipstick brand MAC VIVA Glam sponsored the gala party, Lady GaGa’s and Cyndi Lauper’s lipsticks for MAC VIVA hit retail at $14.00 on March 18. GaGa performed “Speechless”.

Lady GaGa and Cyndi Lauper visited two popular American tv shows: “Good Morning America” and “The Today Show” earlier this Wednesday (February 10) to promote their MAC VIVA Glam lipsticks that hit retail on March 18 priced at $14.00.

Pop singers Lady GaGa and Cyndi Lauper have lent their faces to new lipsticks from MAC Viva Glam that benefit the MAC Aids fund.

The Viva Glam Cyndi and Viva Glam GaGa lipsticks will be available for $14 at retail on March 18. This Wednesday (February 10), Lady GaGa and Cyndi Lauper will both appear at “Good Morning America” and “Today” shows to promote their lipsticks and the cause.

Lady GaGa and Lauper were shot together by photographer Ellen Von Unwerth (picture above) for the campaign that will soons be featured in magazine ads.

Lady GaGa was spotted by photogs as she was out in South Gate, California with a friend and his baby on February 5.

Lady GaGa attended The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards yesterday (January 31) in Los Angeles. She performed a medley of “Poker Face” and “Speechless” with Elton John. Lady GaGa won two out of the five awards she was nominated to, she won Best Dance Recording for “Poker Face” and Best Dance/Electronic Album for “The Fame”. The leading winners of the night were Beyoncé (with 6 awards including “Song Of The Year” for “Single Ladies”) and Taylor Swift (with 4 awards including “Album Of The Year” for “Fearless”).
