Lady GaGa collapsed due to exhaustion on Thursday (January 14) forcing her to reschedule her concert in West Lafayette, Indiana to January 26.

Lady GaGa cancelled the show after an advice from a doctor. Opening acts Semi Precious Weapons and Jason Derulo had already performed their sets and the audience was informed that GaGa wasn’t going to perform due to “sudden illness”.

Lady GaGa was advised to take a few days to rest since she felt sick for dehydration and exhaustion, a rep for the singer told Rolling Stone: “Due to exhaustion and dehydration, Lady GaGa collapsed and passed out before her show tonight in West Lafayette, Indiana. Her physician has advised her to take a few days off to rest.”

GaGa released a statement via Twitter regarding what happened:

I’ve been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down 2nite. An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing. Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular– a result of exhaustion and dehydration. can’t apologize enough for how sorry I am.

I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go onstage. My stage has complicated mechanical elements,everyone was concerned I’d be in danger during the 2hr show, since I had passed out earlier. I am so devastated. I have performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat: I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort. I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me. I will make-up the performance on Jan 26.

“The Oprah Winfrey Show” producer spilled that Lady GaGa will be on the show this week, January 15.

“Lady gaga next Friday everyone!,” so Sheri Salata tweeted on Monday. It is still unclear whether the controversial singer would be both sitting for an interview and performing.

Since the Friday shows are dedicated for live television, GaGa will travel to Chicago on that same day. Such is not the case with “Britain’s Got Talent” singing sensation Susan Boyle who is also scheduled to be on the show. Susan is set to fly in on Wednesday, January 13 for a taped appearance.

The song appears on Bolton’s album One World One Love, which was released in the US and Britain last year and will get a belated Australian release in March.

Lady GaGa is among the nominees for The 21st Annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation’s annual media awards according to Reuters UK.

The organization named 116 nominees for outstanding coverage of gay issues in categories in film, television, documentary, music, theater, comic books and journalism. The awards will be held in three different dates beggining March 13 in New York City.

Lady GaGa was nominated in the music artist category and is up against Adam Lambert, indie band Gossip and singer Brandi Carlie.

The organization’s President Jarrett Barrios said the awards were designed to reward news coverage and entertainment programing that go beyond gay stereotypes.

Gangsta rapper The Game admits he is desperate to collaborate with Lady GaGa on his upcoming fourth studio album, “The R.E.D. Album”. Explaining the unusual choice of musician he wants to collaborate with, he reasoned that the 23-year-old dance electronica sensation is a fellow music rebel. He said, “She’s a rebel, and I go against the grain every day.”

The 30-year-old rapper admitted he has pressured all of his record label executives to set up a studio time with the eccentric and talented singer. “I’m trying to get [Interscope Records executive] Jimmy Iovine to throw me in the studio with Lady GaGa,” he said. The “Hate It or Love It” star is convinced a collaboration with the “Bad Romance” singer would be “monumental for the state of music.”

The Game rose to fame after releasing his debut album “The Documentary in 2005. He was nominated for two Grammys for “Hate It or Love It”, his collaboration piece with 50 Cent in 2006. His newest effort, “The R.E.D. Album”, is set to be released in U.S. stores on February 16. Beside his works in the music industry, he also ventures to feature films. He was last seen on “Street Kings”.

Lady GaGa herself is known for her bizarre choice of clothing and “out there” acts. Despite her eccentricity, she has received many awards and nominations for her talents. On January 6, she received two awards for Favorite Pop Artist and Favorite Breakout Artist from 2010 People’s Choice Awards. So far, there is no official statement from Lady GaGa whether she is up to duet with The Game.

Lady GaGa attended today a Polaroid conference at The Consumers Electronics Conference in Las Vegas, where she was announced as the creative director of the company in order to revive the popularity of the instant pictures classic Polaroid cameras that were discontinued after lack of public interest.

The Haus Of GaGa is going to be responsible for the creative design of the new instant picture cameras.
