    Hey there,

    I have some questions. Though I enjoy your music and I see you are extremely talented I must protest against what you are saying about SB 1070. My first question being have you ever lived in Arizona? Don’t get me wrong America is the melting pot of the world but when people are crossing the boarders daily bringing their gang violence and their drug cartel over to America that’s where I have a problem. I feel you should educate yourself more on why SB 1070 has taken the actions it has. Maybe talk with the people that are living on the boarder lines and see the fear they face daily! I have friends in France, Germany and Canada who have either had to get permission to visit or have to go back yearly to renew their visa in order to be here, and they have lived here for 20 plus years! I have a friend in Peru who couldn’t get permission to just come over here for her wedding to marry the Peruvian man she married so she had a wedding with just her family and the few friends they made as a couple together over there; her own grandmother couldn’t watch her get married because they were trying to do everything legally! The illegals that are crossing the boarders daily are taking advantage of our economy by not paying taxes and living in our government housing and are using our food stamps as well as our government health care services! I guarantee if you come to Arizona and step foot in any emergency room the whole place will be majority illegal peoples whom don’t have health care or if they do they are on access; AND THEY AREN’T EVEN LEGAL! This is the type of behavior that is destroying our economy and it’s people like you who speak out at a concert saying, ‘stop SB 1070′, when they are ignorant as to the situations that have brought up such a bill! I have Latino friends, my former private student for music is Latino, I have cousin in laws that are Latino and also have a cousin in law from Kenya so I am not racist by any means. I am just asking the person that worked her ass off to get where she is today to open up her mind and educate herself on the reasons SB 1070 or any other bill for that matter is written. How dare you even think about protesting against MY STATE’S LAWS/BILLS AND NOT EVEN LIVE HERE OR UNDERSTAND THE SITUATIONS THAT HAVE RISEN BECAUSE OF THE ILLIGAL BOARDER CROSSERS! Oh and try going to Mexico and see the rights one has there when one isn’t famous.

    Keep up the great music and please educate yourself on the reality that is lived as an American living on the U.S. Boarders.
